When designing watch bands, both colour and comfort are key factors, and growing in relevance in our fashion-conscious environment.
The use of Aliphatic TPU not only provides flexibility and strong abrasion resistance to your watch bands, but it is also non-yellowing. Design options are broadened, and even transparent and light-coloured watch bands are a long-term option as Aliphatic TPU is optically clear, and resists ultraviolet light.
Moreover, Pearlthane® Aliphatic TPU grades offer two alternative options for watch brands manufacturers & designers over traditional solutions such as rubber:
Pearlthane® D95N85P, a clear Aliphatic TPU grade with high hydrolysis resistance and low temperature flexibility for high performance, transparent and paintable watch bands.
Pearlthane® D91T85 providing good colour stability and fast cycling for flexible and mass coloured watch bands.
